Job Title: Production Lead

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Lead to support the daily operations of our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will assist the Production Manager in overseeing production schedules, coordinating workflow, ensuring quality control, and maintaining efficiency in the production process. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role will be almost entirely on the production floor assisting with different production roles on the floor. This person will serve as a central point of contact for both people on the floor and the Production Manager to execute company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Production Manager in planning and organizing daily production schedules.

• Fill in for production employees out sick or on vacation

• Troubleshoot production process issues to determine potential causes and steps to resolve.

• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

• Maintain, collect, and record accurate records of production activities, including output, downtime, and efficiency reports.

• Assist in identifying and resolving operational issues to optimize productivity.

• Support inventory management by tracking raw materials, supplies, and finished products.

• Train and mentor production staff as needed.

• Assist in implementing process improvements and lean manufacturing initiatives.

• Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned by the Production Manager.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.

• 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with ERP systems is a plus.

• Knowledge of production processes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Work Environment:

• This position is based in a manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.

• Requires standing for long periods and occasional lifting of materials up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
