Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team who has a proven track record of managing financial records for small to mid-sized businesses. The ideal candidate will have expertise in QuickBooks will play a vital role in keeping our finances organized and accurate, and will be in charge of implementing processes for the financial department. This position will support Andrew’s Roofing and its sister companies.
Duties
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
- Manage payroll processing and work closely with our CPS to ensure things are in compliance and organize them into the right location.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Track expenses and income to ensure proper categorization in QuickBooks.
- Collaborate with the management team to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax preparation and filing.
- Create an atmosphere of cooperation, enthusiasm, teamwork, customer satisfaction, and professionalism among staff members, subcontractors, vendors, and customers.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
- 2-5 years of experience in bookkeeping, with knowledge of general accounting, accounts payable & receivable, invoicing, billing, and QuickBooks.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (required).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong PC skills.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive financial information.
- Familiarity with payroll systems
- Familiarity with tax regulations and filing processes in Iowa.

- Experience in real estate and construction industries.
