What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian (PT) position at Andrew Wommack Ministries Inc?
Position Purpose:
The overall responsibility of cleaning the facility, inside and out to maintain a neat and clean environment for employees of Andrew Wommack Ministries, students and staff of Charis Bible College as well as visitors.
Essential Duties:
- Clean, vacuum, and straighten chairs in the auditorium as well as classrooms and offices.
- Dusting, sweeping/washing/waxing solid floor surfaces, cleaning windows/mirrors.
- Clean kitchen/dining room tables, fixtures, and appliances, re-stocking plastic ware and paper plates, etc., straightening furniture and freshening up.
- Clean bathrooms and fixtures and restock bathroom amenities.
- Set up the auditorium and classrooms for school as well as other events.
- Empty trash cans and maintain the cleanliness of the facility as directed.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have good technical, reading, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to operate a Windows-based computer and be familiar with Microsoft Office software.
- Must be able to perform physical labor and able to sit/stand/walk for extended periods of time.
- Develop and maintain cooperative working relations with those contacted in the course of work.
- Must be able to use and handle various cleaning products.
- Basic skills for operating cleaning equipment tools for general cleaning.
- Must have good time management skills.
- Must be able to work independently and be a self-starter.
- Must be professional and friendly.
- Must be able to physically lift 50lbs.
- May be required to operate industrial weight carpet shampooer/floor scrubber and floor polisher.
Requirements:
- Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Must sign the Statement of Faith.
- A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
- Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred but not required.
- Must pass all required checks.
Experience:
- Prior custodian experience is a plus
- Compensation commensurate with experience
