Position Purpose:
The GTN Marketing Project Manager oversees the successful planning, execution, and completion of marketing and sales initiatives within the GTN Strategy & Development department. This role is responsible for managing projects across multiple teams, including Written Content, Creative Services & Branding, the Written Content team, and other marketing functions for GTN, its TV shows, home events, and products. They will plan, build, assign, and manage tasks for both recurring and ad hoc campaigns, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, on time, within budget, and aligned with GTN’s objectives. This position requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, as well as the ability to drive projects forward in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Essential Duties:
- Oversee and manage a wide variety of marketing and sales projects, ensuring alignment with GTN’s strategic objectives.
- Lead the project planning process by building workflows, assigning tasks, setting deadlines, and managing deliverables across multiple teams.
- Supervise and provide guidance to the Project Coordinator, ensuring that project workflows are effectively maintained.
- Utilize Monday.com, SharePoint, Nextcloud, and Office 365 to organize and track projects, ensuring transparency and accountability across all teams.
- Coordinate with stakeholders from different teams and organizations within the ministry to ensure the smooth execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources, proactively identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks or delays.
- Research and propose vendors for special projects, communicate with vendors, ensure timely delivery of assets, and manage expectations to maintain smooth execution of projects and campaigns.
- Facilitate regular team check-ins, project updates, and status reports to ensure all stakeholders remain informed and aligned.
- Implement process improvements to streamline workflows, improve collaboration, and enhance efficiency in project execution.
- Maintain documentation, reports, and project archives for future reference and continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary liaison between GTN Strategy and Development leadership and various teams, ensuring clear communication and execution of marketing initiatives.
- Assist in capacity planning to balance workloads across teams and optimize resource allocation.
- Conduct post-project reviews to analyze performance, identify lessons learned, and make recommendations for future projects.
- Stay updated on project management best practices, marketing trends, and new tools to enhance effectiveness in this role.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in project management software, especially Monday.com, and collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Nextcloud, and Office 365.
- Excellent ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing deadlines, resources, and stakeholder expectations.
- Experience working with marketing teams, understanding workflows for written content, design, social media, web development, and video production.
- Strong organizational skills with a strategic mindset for process improvement and efficiency.
- Proficiency in task delegation, workload balancing, and cross-team coordination.
- Effective communicator who can clearly relay priorities, expectations, and project updates across multiple teams.
- Skilled in problem-solving and proactive risk management, identifying obstacles before they become issues.
- Strong ability to lead, mentor, and supervise a Project Coordinator, providing direction and accountability.
- Experience with marketing campaign execution, understanding timelines for product launches, social promotions, and content rollouts.
- Analytical skills to track project success metrics, evaluate performance, and optimize workflows.
- Adaptability to shifting priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of excellence, organization, and follow-through.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
- Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Must sign the Statement of Faith.
- A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred.
- Must pass all required checks.
Experience:
- 2 years of project management experience, preferably in marketing, media, or sales-driven environments.
- Experience working with project management tools such as Monday.com (required) and familiarity with SharePoint, Nextcloud, and Office 365.
- Background in marketing, media production, or digital campaigns is preferred.
- Compensation is commensurate with experience.
