The Finance Manager plays a key role in the automotive sales process, processing the necessary documentation for vehicle sales and financing. The primary responsibilities include preparing and submitting finance and insurance paperwork, ensuring compliance with dealership and regulatory requirements, and facilitating a smooth transaction process for customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and complete all required documentation for vehicle financing, leasing, and insurance products.
  • Verify customer information, including credit reports, loan applications, and proof of income.
  • Submit finance and lease applications to lenders and financial institutions.
  • Communicate with lenders to obtain approvals, terms, and conditions for customer financing.
  • Follow up on pending finance/lease applications to ensure timely processing.
  • Assist customers with understanding financing options, insurance products, and payment plans and other add-ons.
  • Work closely with the sales team and F&I Manager to provide a seamless customer experience.
  • Ensure all customer paperwork and transactions are in compliance with dealership policies, state laws, and federal regulations (e.g., Truth in Lending Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act).
  • Organize and maintain all required customer files and records, both physical and electronic.
  • Explain various insurance products and extended warranty options to customers.
  • Assist customers in selecting appropriate coverage based on their needs.
  • Assist in processing payments for vehicle purchases, ensuring timely collection.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the finance and insurance process in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • A proven track record of more than 2 years working in a dealership as an automotive Finance/Insurance Manager is required.
  • Familiarity with financing options, insurance products, and regulatory compliance within the automotive industry.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite and dealership management software (e.g., RouteOne, Reynolds & Reynolds).
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to process and verify documents with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Must have the ability to interact with customers professionally, addressing their concerns and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Must have a strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be willing to participate in a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
