About the Role
As a Quality Engineer at Andrews & Cole, LLC, you will be responsible for driving quality forward by effective communication both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining configuration control documentation through contract review and blueprint/specification control is essential to our success.
- You will engage with OEMs and sub-tiers as a customer-facing QE, ensuring strong relationships and effective communication.
- Additionally, you will assist as a backup QE for additional customers, providing support and expertise as needed.
- Collaboration with Engineering to submit waivers and concessions as required/requested is critical to our operations.
- Working with Engineering to review and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) ensures compliance and quality standards are met.
- Participating in investigation and disposition of customer complaints and returns demonstrates our commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Effective communication and submission of Corrective Actions as needed to customers and internally maintains trust and confidence.
- Serving as an internal quality representative for internal and external customers showcases our dedication to quality and customer satisfaction.
- Achieving certification for customer source inspection as necessary, including completing training and certification, enhances our capabilities.
- Contributing to various continual improvement projects drives innovation and excellence.
- Pursuing Internal Auditor certification and participating in audits, special process audits, and customer audits ensures we maintain the highest standards.
Qualifications:
- We seek candidates with a Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 4 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or comparable quality discipline is required.
- Excellent communication skills, both direct and indirect, are essential.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task effectively are necessary.
- Ability and willingness to work onsite in a high-paced team-oriented environment is crucial.
- Positive attitude and willingness to accomplish tasks are key qualities we seek.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and detailed customer specifications/requirements is necessary.
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment background check and participate in pre-employment drug screening is required.
- US citizenship due to company contracts under the Arms Export Control and Export Administration Act is a requirement.
