Physical Demands and Work Environment: As a beer distributor, many of our roles such as Delivery Drivers & Assistants, Warehouse Workers, Order Selectors, Merchandisers, and Quality Specialists are physically demanding and require the ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, climb, and pivot frequently throughout the workday. Additional requirements include the ability to speak, hear, and see to communicate and to operate various machinery, equipment, and vehicles, and the ability to work in multi-temperature (hot/cold), and sometimes noisy and crowded environments. A POS Operations Specialist II is responsible for POS inventory, execution of the company’s POS warehouse process and assists Merchandise Operations Leaders with planning. This role is part of the Marketing/Operations team. WORK TASKS A POS Operations Specialist II can be expected to perform the following tasks in this role as a routine part of their job: POS Operations Specialist II Trains and provides direction as needed to new team members. Acts as SME as needed on the operation and maintenance of the POS Distribution Center and processes. Responds to Sales team member questions and provides guidance as needed. Provides recommendations and innovations that improve quality, reduce costs and/or value to our customers. Assists the Merchandise Operations Manager with developing specifications for new procedures to manage the movement and tracking of POS materials. Acts as a back-up to the Sign Specialist as required. Performs the basic, routine tasks needed to cover the Sign Specialist workload. Maintains a basic knowledge of the Sign Specialist role and tasks to ensure ability to cover daily, basic tasks as required. *This is a leveled role with elevated responsibilities that build from one level to the next. Each new level is expected to be proficient in all lower level responsibilities and new level responsibilities. This list is not all inclusive of other tasks and subtasks that may be necessary in performing this role, but rather an overview of the role’s primary work tasks. QUALIFICATIONS A qualified candidate for the POS Operations Specialist role should satisfy the expectations below: REQUIRED POS Operations Specialist II One to Three Years Warehouse Management and/or POS Operations Experience Advanced Communication and Interpersonal Skills Proficient MS Office and Technical Skills PREFERRED POS Operations Specialist II Previous Training and Coaching Experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to pull/push a load up to 70 lbs. Requires heavy and repetitive lifting/placement of products. Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently throughout duration of workday. Requires ability to tolerate working in an environment with inside/outside ambient/extreme temperatures. Must be able to work in noisy and crowded environments. Driving may be required during the workday. Ability to operate facility equipment required for role. Ability to use a personal computer for tasks such as communicating via email, preparing reports and other forms of documentation using company and industry software. Ability to speak, hear, and see is required to communicate with employees, and to operate varied machinery, equipment and vehicles. Hand-eye coordination and fine manipulation skills are necessary to operate computers and various facility machinery and equipment. Ability to perform job functions in compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety policies and best practices.
