We are looking for a skilled and reliable Commercial Refrigeration Technician to install, service, and maintain refrigeration systems for our commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with walk-in coolers/freezers, display cases, ice machines, and other commercial refrigeration equipment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring systems run efficiently and safely to meet customer needs and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair commercial refrigeration systems.
- Troubleshoot issues with compressors, condensers, evaporators, electrical controls, and refrigerant levels.
- Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
- Handle refrigerants according to EPA guidelines and ensure proper documentation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and service manuals.
- Provide accurate service reports, work orders, and customer updates.
- Respond to emergency service calls and after-hours support as needed.
- Communicate professionally with clients to explain issues and solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with safety codes, standards, and regulations.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle in good condition.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification is a plus.
- 3–5 years of experience in commercial refrigeration service and repair.
- EPA Section 608 Certification (required).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems and electrical components.
- Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and safety practices.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with supermarket refrigeration systems, rack systems, or parallel systems.
- Familiarity with digital controls and remote monitoring systems.
