What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Chaplain For Sabbath School Engagement position at Andrews University?
The Center for Faith Engagement, CFE, is looking for a qualified student worker to join our department to assist coordinating a strong Sabbath School program and personal bible study on Andrews University’s campus. The candidate will be responsible for promoting, recruiting, and assisting in the Sabath school program and the personal bible study. The successful candidate will work with the Associate Chaplains, Service and Missions Director and the Vice-President for Faith Engagement as needed, to promote interfaith dialogue, culture development, and discipleship initiatives for the department across the university campus.

- Execute Campus faith-culture projects in support of wider campus culture initiatives
- Lead team of student volunteers responsible for the planning, leading, and training on how lead a Bible study in preparation for baptism.
- Identify and engage individuals with ability to become discussion leaders for Sabbath School and Bible study coaches across the campus
- Manage the bible study interest list and track the students’ progress
- Provide leadership and insight into the planning of Sabbath School
- Weekly meetings at CFE

- Candidates hold at least Sophomore class standing with one year of in-residence education on campus or demonstrated understanding of campus life (Preferred)
- Demonstrated evidence of prior experience in giving Bible studies.
- Demonstrated understanding of worship in multi-cultural blended settings
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence
- NOTE: This individual must be available August 13, 2025 - August 16, 2025 for the required CFE Student Chaplain Retreat
