ASI is seeking an experienced Logistician to work in Jacksonville, FL. Logisticians perform various tasks related to the development, operation, evaluation, and improvement of weapon systems and information systems.
Responsibilities
- Leads the execution of complex tasks by applying extensive logistics techniques, principles, and precedents to develop, design, modify, install, test, evaluate, or analyze structural, electrical, electronic, avionics, mechanical, communications, stores, armament/ordnance, or related data processing systems for military weapon systems or associated support equipment or components
- Provides technical and management disciplines associated with the design, development, testing, production, fielding, sustainment, and improvement/modification of cost-effective systems that achieve readiness and sustainability requirements
- Performs support for maintenance planning, technical data, manpower /personnel, computer resources support, supply support, facilities, support equipment, training and support, and packaging, handling, storage, and transportation
- Organizes, analyzes, and prepares reports or presentations of technical data and information
- Plans and performs tests and evaluations of system equipment or components
- Compiles, processes, reduces, or analyzes test data results
- Collects, compiles, analyzes, investigates, researches, or applies maintenance, acquisition, or financial data and information
- Develops, modifies, prepares, or validates documentation in relation to engineering, maintenance, and management information systems
- Supports the maintenance program by researching material availability from government and commercial sources
- Develops and updates supply and provisioning data to include Source Maintenance and Recoverability (SM&R) coding
- Develops and updates data for technical manuals including repair, inspection, and Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB) manuals
- Works on maintainability programs with engineering and maintenance organizations on issues such as
- Technical evaluation and identification of weapons and support equipment systems, engineering requirements, and resource
- Weapons systems hardware and software standardization and compatibility
- Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) program testing, evaluation, planning, and execution
- Bachelor's degree
- Associate degree plus an additional 4 years of acquisition or operational logistics support/maintenance experience OR High School Diploma plus an additional 6 years of operational logistics support/maintenance experience may be substituted for Bachelor’s degree
- Industrial and logistics maintenance planning or sustainment support
- Technical analysis of operational Integrated Product Support (IPS) requirements or operational logistics planning with the ability to perform IPS studies, analysis, and evaluations in support of DoD weapons systems/equipment
- Naval Aviation Configuration Management experience
- Naval Aviation Quality Assurance/Analysis experience
- Navy or Marine Corps aircraft maintenance experience
- Familiarity with online tools such as JEDMICS, JDRS, Haystack, OneTouch, Deckplate, EMALL, etc.
- Defense Acquisition experience
- DAWIA certification
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be qualified to obtain a Secret Clearance
