Andromeda Systems Incorporated (ASI) provides comprehensive and cost-effective engineering solutions through the synergistic application of the cross-disciplinary talent of our team. By leveraging the depth of knowledge and breadth of experience from all of our service areas, the Engineering Team combines leading-edge technology with classical analysis methods, to develop or modify systems, improve processes and resolve problems for military and commercial systems including aircraft, ground vehicles, facilities, and industrial equipment.
The primary focus of our Engineering Division is to provide engineering services in core functional areas of asset sustainment efforts which include product modification, product repair, production support, fleet support, and service life extension efforts. Our staff includes subject matter experts in aircraft structures, as well as mechanical and electrical systems used on aircraft, vehicles, buildings, mining equipment, and many other applications. We are also experienced in the design and implementation of condition monitoring systems in a wide range of applications from aircraft to data centers to underground mines.
ASI is seeking an Engineering Intern to work in Oklahoma City, OK. Qualified candidates will learn and grow with our team of experienced professionals. These positions provide the opportunity to apply the skills and knowledge candidates have developed in the classroom to real world issues.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing data analysis for assemblies/sub-assemblies utilizing failure and maintenance data and other data sources to assess, analyze, and predict failures and reliability
- Assist in the development of complex repairs and preparation of static strength/fatigue analysis of engineering repair dispositions for nonconforming aircraft structure
- Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, develop, implement, test, and evaluate projects within the engineering discipline
- Assist in the performance of analyses with hand calculations using OEM and DoD stress methods and industry standards
- Assist in the prototyping, validating, and troubleshooting system installations and equipment
- Assist in the production of reports to demonstrate that the design satisfies all relevant design requirements
- Assist in the preparation and review of engineering and technical analyses, reports, and other technical documentation
- Perform other duties as tasked
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors program for Engineering
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Willing to work approximately 20-30 hours per week
- Ability to use Microsoft 365 to include Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
