We are currently hiring a Float Client Service Representative to work in our branches, helping to cover the Lewiston and Auburn areas. We cover mileage from your home location to all other branches! In this role, you will work alongside our other Client Service Representatives to perform a wide variety of service tasks including teller functions, opening new checking and savings accounts / services along with handling moderately complex transactions professionally and accurately.
In addition, you'll be responsible for understanding the financial needs of clients, and providing outstanding solutions-based service. You'll create strong relationships with clients enabling you to provide them with personalized service, including recognizing other financial service needs such as mortgages, commercial loans and investment services, and referring those customers to appropriate banking specialists.
Candidates for this position should possess exceptional customer service skills, a sales orientation and a high degree of accuracy in managing cash and following procedures. The ability to engage with business and individual clients in an engaging, professional manner is key to success, as is your ability to work well with your team of coworkers.
While no experience in banking is required, we are pleased to consider advanced placement in a higher level role for experienced candidates.
Additional Responsibilities Include :
- Receives checks and cash for deposit to savings and checking accounts, verifies deposit amounts, examines checks for endorsement and negotiability, and enters transactions into bank records via on-line teller terminal.
- Accurately processes payments for such loans as mortgage and installment, ensuring that payments equal the amount due and that all late charges, if applicable, are collected.
- Cashes checks and pays money from savings and checking accounts upon verifications of signatures and client account balances. Inspects all checks, bonds, money orders, savings withdrawals, etc. to determine their negotiability.
Effectively use Client Relationship Management System to document client interactions, calls, incidents and activities.
Will be expected to develop skills for any of the following duties : opening checking and savings accounts; controlling the vault cash; ATM processing; TCR use and processing; processing check re-orders; opening safe deposit boxes; cash advances; selling bank checks and money orders including logging the needed information.
