Generator Technician

Position Overview:We have an immediate opening for a Road Service Technician. This role involves maintaining and servicing diesel, gasoline, and gaseous engines, generators, and associated controls from all major generator manufacturers. Knowledge of engine-driven alternators and automatic transfer switches is helpful, but we are willing to train the right candidate. This position requires significant customer interaction, so excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance on diesel, gasoline, and gaseous engines and generators.
• Service and maintain associated controls of all generator manufacturers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure efficient operation.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate solutions effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of service and repairs.
• Comply with all safety standards and regulations.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of engine-driven alternators and auto transfer switches is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to learn and receive on-the-job training.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer relation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Clean driving record with a valid driver’s license.
• Physical capability to perform maintenance and repair tasks.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
