Counter Intrusion, Mission Software Engineer, Front-End

WHY WE'RE HERE The Mission Software Engineering team builds, deploys, integrates, extends, and scales Anduril's software to deliver mission-critical capabilities to our customers. As the software engineers closest to Anduril customers and end-users, Mission Software Engineers solve technical challenges of operational scenarios while owning the end-to-end delivery of winning capabilities such as Counter Intrusion, Joint All Domain Command & Control, and Air Defense Systems. As a Front End Mission Software Engineer, you will solve a wide variety of problems involving networking, autonomy, systems integration, robotics, and more, while making pragmatic engineering tradeoffs along the way. Your efforts will ensure that Anduril products seamlessly work together to achieve a variety of critical outcomes. The Counter Intrusion team builds our Sentry Towers. Sentry uses artificial intelligence to provide highly accurate, persistent autonomous awareness across land, sea and air. With an AI-enabled edge processing, continuous 360 pan / tilt and a variety of radars and sensors, Sentry can autonomously identify, detect and track objects of interest to bring increased security to borders, military bases, oil and gas pipelines, airports and other critical infrastructure. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Design, build, and deploy a real-time, map-based interface for displaying and interacting with sensor data and commanding physical assets Fetch and manage large streams of data while maintaining performant rendering in a low-friction user experience Build and design immersive image-viewing experiences in a web-based platform Partner with end-users to turn needs into features while balancing user experience with engineering constraints Travel up to 30% of time to build, test, and deploy capabilities in the real world REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in Computer Science, Operations Research, Electrical Engineering or related technical degree Experience building scalable and responsive web-based user interfaces. Experience working on frontend applications Proficiency with a programming language such as Javascript or Typescript Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS Experience working on frontend applications with data-intensive or map-based systems. Experience working with React The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
