Title : Nurse Practitioner Fellowship, Lewiston
What You’ll Do :
- A yearlong fellowship program which will prepare a nurse practitioner for specialty certification and practice in hospice and palliative care.
- Learning will be primarily through direct, supervised clinical care in a variety of sites including hospital and hospice inpatient, ambulatory care and home care.
- Training focused on symptom management, communication, prognostication, establishing and documenting goals of care for patients with a wide array of serious illnesses.
- Clinical experience will be augmented by didactic and project-based learning. There will be opportunities to work with multiple members of the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, social workers and chaplaincy.
