Job Summary
Andy Mohr Chevrolet in Plainfield is looking for a Service Dispatcher for their LARGE and growing Automotive Service Department. This employee plays a crucial role in coordinating service operations by efficiently managing incoming service vehicles by dispatching to technicians, lube techs, and other areas as needed for our customers to have a timely and effective service experience. This position requires strong communication skills, customer service skills, the ability to work independently and within a team setting, attention to detail, multi-tasking ability, knowledge of processes within a Service Department, and the ability to analyze logistical challenges to optimize service routes and schedules. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of Automotive Service Experience within a high volume Shop. This position provides a great opportunity to grow within our company. Duties
- Organize the flow of incoming vehicles in the most effective manor.
- Utilize software for data entry and tracking of service appointments.
- Dispatch technicians based on availability, location, and skill set while ensuring optimal customer service.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, technician assignments, and customer interactions.
- Communicate effectively with technicians in the field to provide updates and resolve any issues that arise during service delivery.
- Analyze logistical data to improve efficiency in dispatching processes.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures regarding service operations.
Skills
- Proficiency in customer and coworker communication.
- Familiarity with Service Appointment software for data entry and management.
- Strong understanding of the Service Drive functionality.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to ease customers frustrations with car troubles.
- Ability to analyze information quickly to make informed dispatching decisions.
- Experience in logistics or dispatching is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
