About the Job
We have a full-time Barista position open at our beautiful new Menlo Park location!! We are looking for people who enjoy creating memorable customer experiences in a high-volume environment. This role has a rate of $19.00 - $21.00 per hour depending on experience, plus tips and benefits. Job perks include working in a beautifully designed cafe with a professional team, and access to all the coffee you can drink!

What You’ll Do

• Working knowledge of the coffee menu, various brewing methods, and non-coffee drinks.
• Working knowledge of the food program, food preparation methods, ability to answer questions, and make customer accommodations regarding allergy information.
• Taking orders and operating the cash register, preparing and expediting drink and food orders.
• Maintaining total cleanliness of the cafe.
• Ensuring all food and drink items meet Andytown standards, only serving products you would be stoked to receive.
• Opening and Closing the store; following daily task lists, ensuring all equipment, surfaces, storage areas, floors, and windows are maintained and clean.
• Upholding health department standards.

Requirements

• Motivated to create memorable experiences for guests. At Andytown we believe that making genuine interactions with our customers is just as important as making delicious coffee.
• Commitment to honing your coffee skills and food knowledge.
• Ability to do repetitive work, including tamping espresso by hand.
• Comfortability working in a small space in close proximity to others in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 25-50 pounds.
• Ability to stand up to 8 hours every shift.
• Sometimes will need to bend, crouch, kneel, and reach over-head, to complete tasks.
