Position Overview:
1. Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines that ingest, process, and transform data from various sources (e.g., databases, APIs, streaming platforms, cloud storage).
2. Build and optimize data warehouses and data lakes to support business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning initiatives. By Implementing data quality checks and monitoring systems to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
3. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data availability and performance.
Project waiting on this person: Their EMR (emergency medical records) is Cerner and billing system called Athena. The goal is to figure out how data can be exchanged between these systems and then perform a "data dump" to export the necessary information
Top Skills:
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer (1 year) or 3 years experience as a developer or in a similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and web services.
- Build user interfaces using modern frameworks and related technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server). - Microsoft shop
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI and SSRS)
- Experience/knowledge of EPIC (Switching to EPIC - go live Jan 2026)
- Experience pulling out data from EMRs (Emergency Medical Records)
