The Therapist at Anew Behavioral Health provides therapeutic services to clients facing behavioral health issues and substance use disorders (SUD). This role involves the application of specialized clinical knowledge and advanced counseling skills to conduct assessments, create individualized treatment plans, and deliver effective psychotherapy in various settings, including office, community, and telehealth. The Therapist collaborates with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support clients in their recovery and ensure holistic care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize specialized clinical knowledge and advanced counseling skills to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and perform diagnostic interviews for behavioral health and substance use disorder (SUD) clients.
- Facilitate individual, group, and family-oriented therapy sessions to address client needs and promote recovery.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services rendered, client progress, and treatment outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, their families, case managers, and referral sources to ensure comprehensive care.
- Work with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that are tailored to their unique circumstances and goals.
- Participate in regular care conferences and case reviews to enhance treatment effectiveness and client engagement.
- Attend Supervision as required.
- Ensure compliance with agency, federal, and state confidentiality standards and HIPAA regulations.
Supervision Given:
This position does not supervise any staff.
Supervision Received:
The therapist will report to the Operations Manager
Qualifications:
- Must be licensed to practice in the state of Ohio.
- NPI number and Ohio Medicaid ID are preferred and required to start work.
Education:
- A master's degree in counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
- Bachelors may be accepted with additional licensure and experience
Certification:
- Current licensure or provisional licensure in the state services are rendered.
Experience:
- Prior experience in a clinical setting, particularly in behavioral health and SUD counseling, is preferred.
Physical Effort:
- Primarily requires sitting while conducting therapy sessions, with occasional movement within the office or community setting.
