What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Recovery Advocate position at Anew Chemical Health Services?
Job Purpose:
Lead Recovery Advocate will work in conjunction with licensed staff at ANEW. They fill the 24-hour 7 day per week oversight of program and residential clients.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Obtain urine samples from clients and follow designated chain of command for getting samples analyzed
- Observe client self-administration of medications
- Manage daily, evening, and overnight milieu
- Monitor building for safety
- Support clients by acting as a mentor and helping them navigate recovery resources
- Coordinate client logistics of arrival and departure including transportation, managing follow up appointments, and working with other facility staff members
- Attend Recovery Advocate monthly meetings and assist the Recovery Advocate Supervisor with creating the agenda
- Build community with clients and staff and professionals outside of ANEW to create an environment that is conductive to client growth and recovery
- Assist in organizing outside recovery activities for the clients
- inform clients of and/or escort them to social recovery activities and sober fun outings
- Ongoing evaluation of client needs to make appropriate community and in-house referrals
- Work collaboratively with all other agency programs
- Identify and connect clients to community resources including housing, educations, employment, and community recovery resources
- Maintain ongoing, current, and required training and self-development for best practice
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
