Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Lead Preschool Teacher to join our dynamic early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, creating engaging learning experiences, and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. As a Lead Preschool Teacher, you will play a key role in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, building meaningful relationships with children and families, and supporting the growth and development of each child in your care.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive and engaging curriculum that promotes the physical, cognitive, social and emotional development of preschool-age children.
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities, lessons, and experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where children feel valued, respected, and safe to explore and learn.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, fostering open communication and collaboration.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of children’s progress and development, and use data to inform instructional practices and individualized support plans.
- Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations and maintain a safe and healthy classroom environment at all times.
- Provide guidance and support to assistant teachers and classroom aides, fostering a collaborative and team-oriented approach to teaching and learning.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding their child’s progress, achievements, and any concerns or challenges.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and ongoing training to enhance teaching skills and stay current on best practices in early childhood education.
- Serve as a positive role model for children and colleagues, demonstrating professionalism, empathy and a commitment to early childhood education.
WAGE RANGE: Up to $24.00/hour

Education and Experience:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required
- Previous experience working with preschool aged children in a licensed childcare or early education setting preferred
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues
- Creative, energetic, and adaptable teaching style, with a passion for inspiring young learners
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to pass a background check and comply with state licensing requirements
Schedule:
- Be flexible in working between the hours of 6:00 am and 6:00 pm
- No nights or weekends
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing for long periods of time
- Be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Reliable transportation

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
