What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Supervisor position at ANEW Chemical Health Services?
Job Purpose:
The Program Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functioning of the residential treatment program. They will monitor the milieu and supervise our 24 hour staff to ensure the highest quality of care for our clients is obtained.
Essential Functions:
- Provide strong leadership and supervision to our 24 hour staff (Recovery Advocates) and care coordinators.
- Recruit, onboard, train, retain, supervise, coach, support, and develop high functioning staff
- Schedule 24-hour coverage by staying within the department’s budget
- Facilitate Advocate meetings and/or co-facilitate with Lead Recovery Advocate
- Approve time reports, time off requests, and ensure adequate staffing
- Oversee the procurement of supplies, equipment, and materials necessary for the program.
- Implement cost-effective measures while maintaining quality standards.
- Provide employee opportunities for growth including trainings, education, and leadership
- Ensure compliance of all ANEW policies and procedures and DHS guidelines
- Partner with leadership in other programs at ANEW
- Role model professionalism to the team and of ANEW
- Work with facilities needs for residential building
- Attend special functions as scheduled and perform other tasks and special projects as assigned by leadership team
Education and Experience:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Bachelor’s Degree in social service preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with state licensing requirements and regulations.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with women of diverse racial and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Experience with Gmail, Google apps and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and schedule flexibility required
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Must be able to travel, sometimes daily in the local area with clients
