Pharmacy Technicians in our Patient Care Center of Excellence spend their day talking with patients, doctors, and facilities on the phone, processing prescriptions and working amongst multiple pharmacy software systems. They ensure that patient orders are properly prepared and meet clinical requirements prior to medication fulfillment. This is an office based, cubicle environment, allowing the Pharmacy Technician to provide an exceptional over the phone patient experience. Responsibilities
- Providing exceptional customer service experiences each day in a phone-based environment.
- Utilizing sound drug knowledge to effectively assist patient questions over the phone.
- Processing prescription information with speed and accuracy.
- Responsible for billing patient medications accurately.
- Maintaining patient records with strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Serving as a liaison between the clinical pharmacists and other medical professionals on patients behalf.
- Performing in a high volume, fast paced environment to ensure orders are processed in a timely manner and meet clinical requirements prior to fulfillment.
- Comfortable working in a phone based environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills, serving patient needs over the phone.
- Thorough drug knowledge.
- Knowledge of appropriate billing activities pertaining to medications.
- Ability to utilize technology and work within multiple software programs to fulfill medication orders.

- Must be 18 years of age. High school diploma /GED required.
- Prior experience in a pharmacy setting, preferred.
- Must hold a current registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy or be willing to register with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
- Certified with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Health Association (NHA) and maintain a current certificate, required
- Ability to perform in an office based setting that requires sitting in a cubicle 90% of the time
