Home Care Aide

Job Summary
As an In Home Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to individuals in their own homes. Your responsibilities will include assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety and comfort, and promoting their overall well-being. Duties

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation.
• Help with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
• Take and record vital signs to ensure clients' health is maintained.
• Support clients with mobility challenges, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Assist individuals with dementia or autism by providing specialized care techniques to enhance communication and understanding.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment within the home, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.

Skills

• Proficiency in heavy lifting techniques to assist clients with mobility needs.
• Experience or training in dementia care, understanding the unique challenges faced by individuals with cognitive impairments.
• Knowledge of assisted living practices that promote independence while ensuring safety.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR to respond effectively in emergencies.
• Ability to cook healthy meals that meet specific dietary requirements of clients.
• Competence in taking vital signs accurately and responding appropriately to any changes observed.
• Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum, employing tailored communication strategies to enhance interaction.

Pay: $18.86 - $19.00 per hour
