Our Assistant Teacher’s responsibilities include:
- Participate with team in planning and implementation of all activities, both indoors and outdoors, for children in the classroom.
- Supervise children for all activities: indoor, outdoor, meals, toileting, etc.
- Maintain a safe environment both indoors and outdoors.
- Support Lead to help concerns of child/parent/coworker in a timely, effective manner, directing concerns that team members feel are best suited for lead to lead teacher.
- Problem-solve with and support team in child/parent/coworker concerns.
- Demonstrate willingness to learn with team to promote continued understanding and education in the training process for assistants.
- Interact with child/parent/coworker in a caring, respectful manner.
Our Assistant Teacher must meet the following requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be eighteen years old
- Child care and/or infant/toddler experience (minimum of one year, required)
- CDA and/or early childhood education/child development education credits preferred (quality experience can take the place of preferred educational credentials)
- CPR and First Aid Certification (within 90 days of hire)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
