Nordic Ski Instructor
We are looking for Nordic instructors to teach cross-country skiing, both traditional and skating styles, as well as snowshoeing at our winter Nordic Center. This position would also involve general Nordic area responsibilities such as selling lessons, providing customer service, shoveling snow, maintaining and monitoring the children’s sledding hill. We are looking for applicants who can provide exceptional customer service at all times, work well under pressure, follow strict policies and procedures, work as a team, and help foster a positive, fun and safe working environment.
Base Pay: $16 per hour
Location: Angel Fire Resort Nordic Center
Employee Type: Hourly, non-exempt
Job Category: Seasonal. Very part-time (holidays/weekends only) positions are available.
Leadership Responsibilities: No
Attendance: Regular, predictable, punctual, and in-person attendance is essential, includes weekends and holidays as scheduled
Hours: Starts around 9:00am and ends around 4:00pm (includes being on-call for lessons and working split shifts)

Minimum Age: 18
Environment: This is a physically demanding, outdoor position and applicants can expect to work long hours in variable winter weather conditions.
Qualifications: Must be able to cross country and skate ski at an advanced level. Having a Nordic Certification from PSIA is an advantage but not required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

- Provide excellent customer service to all guests at the Nordic Center
- Teach lessons in ways that the guest can benefit from, and help guest in any way possible during lessons to leave a positive experience
- Help shovel snow, sell tickets, and monitor the children’s sledding hill
Other: A ski jacket will be provided as part of the uniform. Must provide own equipment and all other winter clothing.
