Food and Beverage Supervisor
This position is responsible for assisting the manager with the leadership of both the back-of-house and front-of-house teams in the overall execution of breakfast/lunch/dinner, bar service, and banquets. The Supervisor will strive to exceed goals of providing an excellent customer experience by meeting high standards and providing exceptional customer service. Applicants must display a solid understating of all NM Department of Health regulations as applicable to food service and have the ability to maintain compliance with those standards at all times.
Base Pay: Depends on experience

Job Category: Seasonal - full time, part time or holiday only
Leadership Responsibilities: Yes, assists management with leading a team of 2-15 employees
Required Certs or Licenses: Must have prior to first day of work-Food Handler Cert (www.nmfoodhandlers.com), NM Alcohol Servers License (www.waytoserve.org)
Attendance: Regular, predictable, punctual, and in-person attendance is essential, includes weekends and holidays as scheduled
Estimated start date: Early December
Minimum Age: 21
Environment: This is an indoor position. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and regularly lift/carry 50lbs.
Qualifications: 2 years of Hospitality F&B experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

- Working under manager, supervises Bartenders, Hosts, Servers, and Bussers at different restaurant venues depending on events and staffing needs
- Observes methods of food preparation and cooking, sizes of portions, and garnishing of foods to ensure food is prepared in prescribed manner and at proper cost margins
- Trains kitchen staff in proper methods and procedures for food production, sanitation and general outlet duties
- Follows recipes, portion control requirements, and presentation standards as directed by the Food and Beverage Director
- Keeps an eye out for problems that may arise and intervenes in a timely manner
- Assigns workers their duties, and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards
- Estimates food consumption and purchases or requisitions foodstuffs and kitchen supplies
- Carries out all tasks and projects as assigned by manager
Environment: This is an indoor position which includes working in a hot kitchen and a busy front of house. Must be able to stand for entire shift and occasionally lift/carry 50lbs.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of serving tables and/or bartending highly preferred
- Experience supervising a fast-paced dining establishment highly preferred
