Job Summary :
The Director of Operations is responsible for implementing, managing, supervising, and evaluating the organization’s waiver-funded programs per Federal and State Standards. As a management team member, the Director of Operations participates in strategic planning, problem-solving, and program development. The ideal candidate works within the organization's guidelines, policies, and mission and is accountable for specific projects as assigned.
The Director of Operations manages the day-to-day operations of program sites, including day habilitation, respite, supported family living, and other services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role involves overseeing program activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading staff to provide high-quality services. The Director of Operations communicates observations and needs to the Executive Director. Staff should avoid conflicts of interest and disclose potential conflicts to their supervisor.

Job Duties (not limited to) :
- Direct, plan, and coordinate the work of program staff, including supervision, evaluation, training, and team building.
- Organize and attend departmental meetings to maintain effective communication.
- Ensure staff are trained and qualified for program activities, supports, and services.
- In consultation with the Executive Director, oversee program employees' hiring, coaching, and discipline.
- Develop, implement, and manage respite, supported family living, and other disability support programs.
- Establish and monitor program goals, objectives, and outcomes to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and best practices.
- Foster a positive, inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, professional growth, and a person-centered approach.
- Supervise data management and compile, maintain, and report monthly, quarterly, and annual program statistics.
- Analyze program trends, identify issues, and develop recommendations for solutions.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate recruitment strategies to expand client participation.
- Ensure skills development programs are relevant and appropriately targeted.
- Support and participate in local and national committees as assigned.
Local Organization – The Director of Operations is responsible for supporting committees as assigned.
National Organization—When appropriate opportunities arise, the director will participate in national and regional committees and attend regional meetings when the budget allows.
