What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN / RN position at Angel Kids PA?
RN or LPN - triage incoming patient calls for a pediatric practice Must demonstrate sound clinical judgement with accurate and thorough documentation of patient calls and instructions provided.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· In a physician’s office setting performs duties including but not limited to working with our call center answering phones, triaging calls, taking and returning messages per provider’s instructions.
· Exhibits a high degree of courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
· Participates in quality improvement and utilization review activities.
· Calling in medications to pharmacy
· Collaborates with others in providing in-service education as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
· Must possess current state LVN/ RN license and CPR certification.
· Minimum of two to four years Pediatric experience.
· Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies.
· Able to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment using tact, diplomacy, and discipline.
· Strong charting/documentation skills.
· Ability to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
· Ability to manage priorities and workflow
· Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
