Front Desk Responsibilities
- Turn off answering service
- Unlock doors & turn lights on (front desk & waiting rooms)
- Waiting rooms are clean & ready for pts.
- Check fax & distribute to appropriate person
- Daily collection day sheets ready
- Every pt. demos are signed & collect copies of insurance & photo ID cards
- Greet patients with a smile
- Collect patient’s copay
- Give appropriate paperwork for that appointment to be completed by patient/parent (i.e. questionnaires)
- Inform and collect patient’s outstanding balances
- All insurances verified & print demo's for the office that you are at for next day
- Work closely with medical and nursing staff to assure smooth patient flow and cut down on waiting time
- Communicate patient’s problem/complaint to the office manager
- Treat all patients with the utmost kindness and consideration, even in the most trying situations
- All new pt. paperwork entered and scanned correctly in OP within 48 hours
- Have new patient packets ready & all copies made for the next day
- Payments posted correctly on day sheets
- Waiting rooms picked up & chairs straighten up before leaving
- Turn phones onto answer service before leaving
- All trash from front desk & all bathrooms taken out
- If you are closing, please print schedule for all providers for next day

Other Duties
Travel: Travel is required between the various Angel Kids Pediatrics locations at times.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional medical office environment. This job also operates in a fast paced, highly customer service environment, working with Children and Family/ Guardian’s. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones as well as medical equipment.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties and responsibilities of office manager, you will be required to stand, walk or sit for long hours. The employee must be able to occasionally move or lift at least 20 lbs. The employee must be able to communicate efficiently in front of large or small crowds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position expected to work 40 hours per week. The office hours are Monday through Friday, varying from 9am to 9pm with weekend hours. The manager may be needed during those hours but is expected to work between 8:30am to 6pm . Occasionally the manager may be needed to take calls on the weekend.
