What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bar Porter position at Angel Lagoon?
BAR PORTER:
Responsible for assisting the beverage team by replenishing stock, maintaining cleanliness
behind the bar, and ensuring efficient service during busy times.
Essential Functions:
- Obtain and organize necessary supplies, including beer, liquor, garnishes, glassware, and utensils.
- Slice and pit fruit for garnishes and stock supplies for bartenders.
- Replace empty kegs and bags, ensuring the bar has all required inventory.
- Keep the work area clean, sanitary, and free from debris, creating a safe environment.
- Assist bartenders with drink preparation and guest service, especially during busy times, by icing glasses and pouring non-alcoholic drinks.
- Help set up and restock the bar for incoming shifts, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Serve as a role model for team members and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Perform any additional tasks as needed to maintain bar operations.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Neat and clean appearance, strong communication, and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and navigate the property.
- Must be at least 21 years old and able to work in environments with noise and bright lights.
- Ability to speak and understand English clearly.
- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior restaurant or bar service experience is preferred.
