Summary:
Angel Performing Arts (Angel Dance) has an immediate opening for a model/fashion show teacher position in Massachusetts, USA. You will be responsible for teaching and training a group of dynamic students of all age groups in a wide variety of hip hop dance techniques and styles. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Create and follow dance curriculum for each semester; prepare lesson plans for assigned classes
- Teach classes at different levels (e.g., beginners and advanced) using various teaching set up techniques in-person at the studio and/or online remotely via Zoom
- Manage classroom activities such as arrival, attendance, transitions, lunch, and dismissal
- Evaluate student progress and skills ratings; make recommendations and provide feedback for improvement using school management software
- Work with school management team, other teachers, staff, parents, or students to improve quality, resolve issues, and maintain a safe and fun learning environment at all times
- Attend scheduled school rehearsals, performances, dance competitions, staff meetings and occasional community/charity events as required
- Teach private lessons as needed
Typical Weekly Teaching Schedule:
- 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Mon to Fri
- 9:00 am - 12:00 am, 1-6pm on weekends (excluding major holiday weeks)
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in dance, or formal training from an accredited college or dance school
- 2 years of professional experience in teaching recreational and advanced level hip hop classes
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving, and organization skills
- Must be available to work during some weekday evenings and on weekends
- US work authorization
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
