Baker

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong worth ethic and able to multitask at a high level. The majority of our baked goods are vegan/gluten free, familiarity with vegan/gf baking is a plus. Shifts start at 4:30AM, so being a morning person is a must! This role involves preparing a variety of baked goods, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. The Baker will play a crucial roll in our kitchen, contributing to the overall success of our food production operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of vegan/gluten free baked goods including but not limited to; sweet breads, cupcakes, brownies, cinnamon rolls, and stromboli.
• Adhere to all recipes, and ensure baked goods are produced in compliance with food safety standards.
• Maintain a cleanly workspace; washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces between each task, completing weekly deep cleans.
• Assist in inventory management by tracking ingredient levels and notifying the manager when running low on items.
• Collaborate with Lead Baker and Manager to brainstorm new creative recipes or variations of current recipes
• Display all pastries in bakery case before open, ensuring quality and presentation
• Have an upbeat, positive work ethic!

Experience/Knowledge

• Proven experience as a Baker or similar roll within the food industry is preferred, but not required. We will train the right person!
• Ability to multitask at a high level
• General knowledge of fractions, and baking related math such as teaspoons, tablespoons, etc.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
