About the Role:
We’re looking for a strategic finance professional to help scale AngelList through high-impact cross-functional work. You’ll work closely with the Head of Strategic Finance to enhance our analytical capabilities, build financial models, support planning processes, and generate insights that drive growth and operational excellence.
What You'll Do:
\n- Monitor business performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to drive results
- Build and maintain financial models that track unit economics, profitability, and KPI performance across product lines
- Lead and support annual and quarterly planning processes, ensuring effective allocation of resources
- Evaluate new product and feature launches through market sizing, customer segmentation, and business case analysis
- Analyze competitive and industry benchmarks to inform strategic priorities
- Support executive and board reporting with clear, data-backed narratives
- Partner with functional leaders to understand key business levers and resource needs
- Collaborate with Accounting and BizOps to enhance financial infrastructure, systems, and processes
- Conduct ad-hoc modeling and scenario analyses to evaluate investment opportunities, M&A, and other strategic initiatives
- 6–8 years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, or management consulting
- Proven ability to break down complex problems and drive insight through data
- Experience building scalable processes in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; bonus points for experience with SQL, Netsuite, or financial planning tools

AngelList has offices in two hub cities: San Francisco and New York City that you can choose to work from. We’re focused on hiring within these hubs and people hired from these hub offices are expected to come into the office twice per week (Tuesdays and choice between Wednesday or Thursday).
Compensation: The compensation for this role includes a competitive base salary, performance based variable component, benefits, and an equity package. Compensation will be tailored to reflect a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location, ensuring alignment with market benchmarks and internal equity.
