What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Prep position at Angelo's Steak & Pasta?
We are looking for someone dependable, hard-working, and motivated to join our morning team. Weekends are required for this position. After one month, if the manager feels you are doing a good job, you will receive a raise. We will be prepping everything for the night that our kitchen will need. Morning prep experience is preferred. We are very fast paced, high-volume business. We hope to hire one person. We are looking to hire within the next few days.
Summary
As a Day Prep team member, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality meals and maintaining food safety standards. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will utilize your core skills in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen experience to assist in meal preparation and food handling. Your premium skills in dietary department experience and menu planning will enhance our culinary offerings. With a focus on teamwork and efficiency, you will contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Proficient in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Strong food handling and service skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment
- Knowledge of culinary practices and knife skills
- Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus
- Familiarity with menu planning and catering services
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced food industry setting
