Duties
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and provide them with menus.
- Manage reservations and walk-in guests efficiently to optimize seating.
- Communicate wait times accurately and keep guests informed.
- Assist with seating arrangements to ensure smooth flow within the restaurant.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the menu and making reservations as needed.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with a focus on guest satisfaction.
Skills
- Strong guest relations skills to create a welcoming environment.
- Excellent communication abilities to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Experience in guest services or food service is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems, such as Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a busy restaurant setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
- A background in hospitality or restaurant environments is advantageous.
