Delivery driver to run routes in and around Abilene to include primary delivery of 50-pound bags of salt, 42-pound bottles of water. Responsible for the delivery, repair / service and cleanliness of water coolers / dispensers, in additional to learning introductory technician service on non-route days.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Deliver all scheduled products in an efficient, safe and timely manner
- Operate company vehicles, including forklift, safely at all times
- Load and unload truck, ensuring sufficient material for day’s routes are included in load
- Ensure customer satisfaction and retention
- Communicate clearly and positively with customers, including legibly completed forms
- Maintain open and positive communication with other employees, departments and dealerships, and provide assistance where possible to support company-wide goals to exceed customers’ expectations
- Assist / train other employees as requested
- Actively support a positive team environment that is conducive to the efficient and effective serving of our customers
- Take precautions to avoid accidents and ensure the safety of everyone
- Safeguard company equipment and products, keeping track of material delivered and returned
- Know and follow company policies and procedures; identify need for and suggest change when appropriate
- Ensure all equipment is set and operating properly. Notify customer of office if any maintenance is required
- Other duties as needed
