Overview:
This Parking Cashier position is responsible for accurately collecting and reconciling parking revenue while providing exceptional hospitality services to all guests in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner and in accordance with Company customer service expectations and established performance standards. This position reports to the Parking Cashier Supervisors, Finance and Ballpark Operations.
This is a bargaining unit position, the pay rate for this position is as follows:
Current through 12/31/2024: $16.40 per hour
Effective 01/01/2025: $16.50 per hour
Effective 02/16/2025: $16.85 per hour
This position is also eligible for sick time (after 90 days of employment) and complimentary tickets to games (12 per season).
Duties:
- Greet and service guests efficiently, with a friendly demeanor and high level of customer service
- Record all vehicle entries using an electronic handheld device (smart phone technology)
- Accurately collect parking fees
- Accept pre-paid parking tickets and verify complimentary parking guests to an approved list
- Have a working knowledge of Angels Baseball stadium parking policies and procedures
- Maintain a professional appearance and standards in compliance with Company policy
- Follow operating and closing instructions as directed by the Parking Cashier Supervisors and parking captains
- Responsible for the accuracy of the reconciliation of payments collected
- Other duties as assigned by supervisors and managers
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience handling cash transactions and balancing a cash fund a plus
- Must be able to use a smart phone
- Must possess the ability to perform basic math skills, which include simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to deal diplomatically with the public, fellow employees and supervisors
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Flexible availability to permit scheduling during day, evenings, weekends and holidays
Physical Demands:
- Ability to frequently use hands
- Ability to frequently reach with hand and arms
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch
- Ability to occasionally sit, climb or balance
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
