Overview:
This position reports to the Director, Entertainment and Production. The Video Producer position will be responsible for managing all aspects of cinematography, media management, and post-production. This includes broadcast commercial production, set design, talent direction, director of photography responsibilities, audio production, motion graphics, in-stadium video content creation, and more. This role also includes video footage archiving responsibilities and logging.
This position is also benefit-eligible including: medical, dental and vision insurance, 401K eligibility; employee contributions after 3 months, employer matching and safe harbor after 1 year and 1000 hours of employment and additional perks not listed above. The expected yearly salary for this position can range from $69,000-$71,000. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Duties:
- Lead camera operator and director of photography for all Angels entertainment, and marketing productions.
- Proficient in Cine Camera workflows to include Sony FX9, FX6, FX3, A7 and/or other similar camera systems.
- In-stadium entertainment post-production editor.
- Broadcast commercial producer and editor.
- Off-season video footage archivist, media manager, logger.
- Red Carpet (non-Angels) events videographer and editor.
- CATDV Archiving and media management.
- Grip, and lighting gear maintenance expertise.
- Edit bay workflow management.
- Works every Angels game as a shooter and editor on site at Angel Stadium.
- Works select (non-Angels) events at Angel Stadium or off-site.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Film, Marketing, Social Media, or a related field must be in progress or recently completed.
- 1-2 years related video production, live production, film, or marketing experience preferred.
- Experience and knowledge of broadcast, Cine, and DSLR cameras.
- Experience in professional lighting for photography, film, or video.
- Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite and color grading software platforms.
- Media asset management experience.
- Live event production experience.
- Knowledge of the MLB, and the Los Angeles Angels is preferred.
- Possess research and creative skills, the ability to develop ideas, and an attention to detail.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude and be open to input and constructive feedback.
- Must be able to take initiative, multi-task, and independently complete tasks and projects.
- Must be able to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations.
- Must present an overall professional appearance.
- Must be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays as required.
- Must possess well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to supply links to completed work or other content which showcases experience.
Physical Demands - Persons in this position may have to:
- Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time
- Frequently traverse to various locations around the stadium
- Continuously operate devices that are capable of completing essential job functions such as computers, cameras, video equipment and accompanying equipment
- May be subjected to extreme heat (over 90 degrees) when working outdoors i.e. performing work in an around the stadium.
- May be subjected to loud noises during stadium events.
- Frequently lift equipment up to 50 lbs.
