What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Manager position at Angels Camp RV Resort?
Angels Camp RV Resort is located in the beautiful Gold Country of Northern California, close to Yosemite, Calaveras Big Trees and historic wineries. Our resort includes 100 full hook-up RV sites, 5 cabins, 2 lodges and 16 tent sites. We are seeking a General Manager for a full-time, year round position. This position requires onsite living in an RV owned by the Manager.
Experience at RV resorts or Hospitality/Hotel experience is required. Must have at least 5 years experience managing employees, leading teams. The Manager will focus on the customer experience and work closely with the owner to add value to the park and drive new revenue streams.
Working knowledge of RMS reservation system preferred but experience with computer campground reservations mandatory. Besides excellent customer service skills, must be very well organized, work well with people, and have good communication skills. Proficiency in budgeting, scheduling, maintaining social media profile, monitoring and answering customer reviews is required. Manager will handle all applicant paperwork and verify suitability of extended stay guests.
Manager will interface with contractors, vendors, and local businesses. The resort has a great staff in place, but Manager must have general knowledge in camp retail store, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, pool/spa operation, wastewater treatment plant, solar system, landscaping with irrigation maintenance, and general day-to-day operations of the RV resort.
Manager will be responsible for training and supervising all staff. Must be a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision, and provide weekly updates to the owner. Compensation will depend on experience and performance.
