Job Summary
The Monitor plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in various settings, particularly those involving children and families. This position requires a compassionate and observant individual who can effectively manage crises, provide support, and maintain a secure environment. The Monitor will work closely with children and families, utilizing their skills in behavioral health, crisis intervention, and conflict management to foster positive outcomes.

Duties

  • Supervise and monitor the activities of children and families to ensure safety and compliance with established guidelines.
  • Provide support during crisis situations, employing effective crisis management techniques to de-escalate conflicts.
  • Collaborate with professionals in child welfare and protective services to address the needs of individuals under care.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of observations, incidents, and interactions with clients for reporting purposes.
  • Engage with children in a supportive manner, promoting positive behaviors and emotional well-being.
  • Implement strategies for conflict resolution among individuals in care, fostering a harmonious environment.
  • Assist families by providing support to family law and child welfare as necessary.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices.
  • Experience in childcare or working with children is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of family law and child protective services regulations.
  • Proficient in crisis intervention techniques to manage emergencies effectively.
  • Ability to work with families during times of need, demonstrating patience and understanding.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
