What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health?
The Accountant plays a vital role in supporting day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, cash management, and month-end close processes. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy, improve processes, and drive operational efficiency. Success in this role requires adaptability, creativity in problem-solving, and strong communication skills. This position reports to the VP of Accounting.
In this role, you will:
- Oversee accounts payable activities, including vendor management, payment processing, and journal entries.
- Record and reconcile vendor invoices to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Reconcile monthly payable reports to confirm accuracy and compliance with agreements.
- Manage daily and month-end bank reconciliations, ensuring accurate recording of all incoming and outgoing funds in the General Ledger.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to manage prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and the fixed asset subledger.
- Support month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and cash flow reporting.
- Assist in improving accounting processes, ensuring thorough documentation and alignment with best practices.
- Contribute to special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- 2 years’ accounting experience, preferably in healthcare
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
Key Skills and Experience
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Working knowledge of US GAAP preferred
- Proficiency with financial systems and tools, such as MS Dynamics Business Central preferred
- Familiarity with high-growth companies or M&A-oriented businesses is a plus

Compensation
The anticipated compensation range is $75,000 - $85,000 annually.
