As the Director of Accounting, you will lead financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls, ensuring accurate financial data and supporting the company’s strategic goals. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal controls
- Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy and completeness
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and controls
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Partner with external auditors and tax professionals for audits and tax compliance
- Provide financial analysis and insights for strategic decision-making, leveraging advanced data analysis skills to present clear, compelling insights to all levels of management
- Optimize accounting systems and technology for efficiency
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a high-performance culture
- Demonstrate creativity and flexibility in problem-solving and project collaboration
- Partner with finance, operations, and executive leadership, confidently engaging in strategic discussions and negotiations
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Master’s degree in Accounting
- CPA required
- Comprehensive understanding of finance and accounting in a healthcare environment
- Proven experience implementing accounting standards in multi-state organizations
- Experience with high-growth companies and M&A-oriented businesses
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP (ASC 842 and/or 606) is a plus
- This is an on-site position at our stunning, brand-new office in McKinney, TX.
