Medical Billing Specialist

As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial aspects of care are handled efficiently and accurately. This role is ideal for a team-oriented and adaptable professional who is passionate about making a difference for patients and their families.

In This Role, You Will

• Manage the entire billing process, including claims, accounts receivable, denials, and appeals.
• Secondary bill insurance/Medicaid, and invoice clients and infusion companies.
• Work aging reports, pending claims appeals, and research underpaid/unpaid claims.
• Communicate with clients and insurance companies to resolve invoice and claim issues.
• Read and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
• Manage a caseload of clients, including claim follow-up and clerical tasks.
• Collaborate with teammates to meet deadlines and achieve team goals.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience in medical billing or medical claims
• Outstanding phone etiquette, communication skills, and attention to detail
  
  

Work Hours and Location

• Must be located in the McKinney/Dallas, TX area - this is a remote position with on-site training in McKinney, TX for the first 90 days. There may be other occasional on-site meetings/trainings after the 90 day training period.
• Standard work schedule is Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (full-time, 40 hours per week).
  
  

Compensation

The anticipated compensation range is $20 - $23 per hour.
