Position:
Using discretion and independent judgment, the Regional Branch Director leads the Branch toward its corporate objectives. This position requires knowledge of Home Health practices, procedures, and standards in accordance with state and federal regulations; and of personnel principles and practices. This position may provide direct patient care on an as-needed basis.
I. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
These include the following:
o Analyzes and organizes home health operations for branch managed.
o Oversees the delivery of care to all patients served by branch.
o Represents the organization as a Marketing source with physicians and local community businesses.
o Communicates as needed with the Director of Nursing concerning new developments and/or problems.
o Responsible for review of Case Managers documentation to include starts-of-care and re-certifications, for appropriateness of care delivery and documentation requirements.
o Works with Quality Improvement staff relative to data tracking for performance reviews and outcomes of care analysis to determine efficiency, efficacy of case management system as well as any other systems and processes.
o Participates in the interviewing, hiring, and training of branch and field employees.
o See patients in the field, as needed, for assessments or intakes
o Delegates referral process/coordination, staffing coordination, supply inventory and distribution, and oversees the completion of these processes.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
o Supervises all employees assigned to specific branch and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this branch.
o Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
o Responsible for appraisal of branch employee performance, rewarding and disciplinary actions of branch employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
o Demonstrates emphasis on improving quality of staff, systems, and environment.

III. Education and Experience Specifications:
o Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
o Two years home health experience, preferred.
o One year nursing management, preferred.
