What are the responsibilities and job description for the Revenue Cycle Management Analyst position at Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health?
As the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Analyst, you will play a key role in optimizing billing operations, ensuring reimbursement accuracy, and driving financial performance. You will analyze and improve revenue cycle processes to enhance efficiency in billing, collections, and reimbursement practices. Collaborating closely with billing, finance, and operational teams, you will identify trends, resolve issues, and implement strategies that strengthen revenue integrity. Additionally, you will assist in preparing cash flow forecasts and provide reports and metrics for eligibility, commercial authorization, payment posting, and electronic visit verification (EVV).
In this role, you will:
- Analyze billing, collections, denials, and payer reimbursements to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for revenue cycle performance, including days in A/R, denial rates, and collection efficiency.
- Collaborate with RCM teams to ensure accurate claim submissions and minimize denials.
- Provide data-driven insights to enhance reimbursement strategies and operational efficiency.
- Assist in preparing cash flow forecasts by analyzing historical revenue trends and expected reimbursements.
- Provide detailed reports and metrics on:
- Eligibility verification trends and challenges.
- Commercial authorization approvals, denials, and turnaround times.
- Payment posting accuracy and reconciliation discrepancies.
- Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) compliance and utilization.
- Use SQL and Power BI to create dynamic dashboards and data visualizations for leadership review.
- Identify patterns in claim denials and rejections data, providing actionable insights to reduce errors.
- Monitor Medicaid, Medicaid Managed Care, and commercial insurance reimbursement trends.
- Support compliance with state and federal regulations related to home health billing and reimbursement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in financial analysis, revenue cycle management, or medical billing (preferably in home healthcare or pediatrics)
Skills and Experience
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid, MCOs, and commercial insurance billing requirements
- Experience with RCM software and EHR systems (e.g., Waystar, Availity, EPIC, Brightree, etc.)
- Expertise in SQL and Power BI for data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling)
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Python experience is a plus
