What are the responsibilities and job description for the Therapy Staffing Coordinator position at Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health?
Location: Denver, CO.
Position Reports To: Manager Therapy Client Care Coordination.
The Therapy Staffing Coordinator position is responsible for daily administrative patient processing functions for The Therapy Department. This position is critical to ensure patients are certified, recertified, and discharged for therapy services in a time effective, regulatory compliant, and customer service oriented manner, effectively utilizing and achieving current standards of operations.
Operational Responsibilities
- Systemic Process
Knowledge, understanding, and successful daily practice of the Referral/Case Management Process, From Referral Inquiry to Discharge.
- Compliance
Ensure compliance of patient charting, as it pertains to intake, Staffing, processing of physician orders, payer authorizations, and discharges. Participates in monthly eligibility updates and ensures compliance with HIPAA, as well as state and federal laws.
- Reporting
- Presentation of reports as requested by manager.
- Weekly reporting of:
- Client intake processing Pending, Scheduling, Active.
- Dashboard Management of Orders, Schedules, Clients, Authorizations.
- Dashboard Client pending SOC with journal notes, SOC and episode.
- Reporting payer authorization denials and follow up in journal notes/communication notes.
- Reporting of data to coincide or dispute payer billing denials.
- Presentation of data to coincide or dispute client pay or client payer financial write offs as needed or requested by manager.
- Eligibility
- Maintain accurate monitoring of patient Case Load eligibility. Expedient response and follow up with the Eligibility team.
Communication & Team Participation
- Actively engagement in weekly meetings.
- Group participation/assuming coverage responsibility as team members are out of office.
- Build and maintain professional and courteous relationships with co-workers, supervisors/management, field staff, and community partners.
- Engagement in team building exercises as requested.
- Maintain flexibility for additional or new tasks, projects, and reporting.
Other/Additional Projects: Tasks, trainings, meetings, and other duties as assigned by manager.
Requirements/Skills & Knowledge
- High School Diploma required.
- Knowledge and background in a healthcare related setting preferred.
- Knowledge and training in Texas home health regulations, as well as applicable state and federal laws required.
- Basic computer hardware and software experience required.
- Advanced level of professionalism and organization required.
Pay Range - $18-$20/hr
Salary : $18 - $20
