We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support and care to clients in their homes. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals who may require assistance due to age, illness, or disability. Your responsibilities will include personal care, meal preparation, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for those you serve.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of care provided.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Assist with mobility and lifting clients as needed, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean living environment.
- Support clients with memory care and dementia-related needs, employing appropriate techniques for effective communication and engagement.
- Work collaboratively with families and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Requirements
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift and assist clients safely while adhering to best practices in caregiving.
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining medical records and following care plans.
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Prior experience in memory care or dementia care is a plus but not mandatory.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
