Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals requiring assistance, particularly seniors and those with special needs. This role involves delivering personalized care while respecting the dignity and rights of each resident.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and document patient observations, including changes in behavior or health status.
- Provide hospice care and support for individuals with terminal illnesses, ensuring comfort and dignity.
- Uphold resident rights by fostering an environment of respect and independence.
- Deliver senior care services tailored to individual needs, including companionship and emotional support.
- Offer direct support to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities as needed.
- Follow care plans developed in collaboration with healthcare professionals to meet the specific needs of each client.
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse as required.
- Implement strategies for dementia care to assist clients in managing their condition effectively.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with patient observation techniques and the ability to recognize changes in health status is essential.
- Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices is a plus.
- Understanding of resident rights and senior care best practices is beneficial.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those requiring direct support is advantageous.
- Ability to follow care plans accurately while maintaining a compassionate approach to caregiving.
