Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' social interactions and mental well-being.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
- Monitor clients' health and behavior, reporting any changes or concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by maintaining hygiene standards and following HIPAA regulations.
- Engage clients in recreational activities that promote physical and mental stimulation.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary to support clients in mobility or transportation.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving, home care, or community care is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with memory care techniques is a plus.
- Certification in CPR is advantageous for ensuring client safety.
- Understanding of patient monitoring practices is essential for effective care delivery.
- Knowledge of long-term care principles will be beneficial in supporting clients' ongoing needs.
